WAFFLE PURSE

 

I am calling this Waffle Purse because when the squares are sewn together the squares look like Belgium waffles!! YUM!!

Material Needed: G hook, sewing needle, worsted weight yarn about 5 ozs

Directions

Make 18 of the squares below

ch 6 join with a sl st to form a ring

round 1 - ch3,  2 dc in ring ch1, *3dc ch 1,* 3 times total, join with a sl st in top of ch 3

round 2 - ch 3, bpdc around next 2 dc on previous round, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, in next ch 1 sp,* bpdc around next 3 dc on previous round, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, in next ch 1 sp* repeat from *to* 3 times total, join with a sl st in top of ch 3

Round 3 - ch 3, bpdc in next 4 dc on previous round, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, in next ch 1 sp,* bpdc in next 7 dc on previous round, 2 dc. ch 1, 2 dc in next ch 1 sp* repeat form *to* 3 times total , bpdc in last 2 dc on previous round, join with a sl st to top of ch 3  fasten off.

Sew the squares together in the back loops only using the picture as reference. You will have a tube when all the sides are sewn together. Slip stitch the bottom of the purse closed. Attach yarn to the top of the purse with a sl st and work a hdc evenly around the top of the purse.    

Strap- make 2

ch 96, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch, ch 2 turn,  hdc in each st across ch 2 turn,  hdc in each st across leaving a length of yarn to sew it to the bag. Sew straps to the bag as shown in the picture.
