| I made this square with my new Brittany Hooks and it was
incredible. I used to have trouble making the bullion stitch but not now
with these hooks it is a breeze. If you are interested in purchasing these

Materials Needed: small amounts of purple and black worsted weight yarn, Size H Brittany hook

| Directions:
Stitches Used: BULLION STITCH yarn over hook 12 times LOOSELY, and evenly, insert hook into next st, yo, draw up a loop, yo and draw through all the loops on your hook, ch 1 to close the bullion stitch just made. Note: When you are pulling your hook through the all the loops on hook you will need to twist and turn it gently through, if it doesn't want to go through then just unwrap it and start over again making sure to wrap very loosely!! LOOSE is the key.
ch 5, join with a sl st round 1 - ch 3, work 16 bullion stitches (stitch description above) in ring just formed, join with a sl st the first to top of first bullion st fasten off purple. Round 2 - attach black with a sl st in the ch 1 sp at the top of any bullion st on previous rnd, ch 2 work 2 hdc in same st, ( 3 hdc in next ch 1 sp ) work around in each ch 1 sp for a total of 48 hdc. (beg ch 2 counts as first hdc) join with a sl st to top of ch 2 Round 3 - ch 3, dc in each st around, join with a sl st to top of ch 3 Round 4 - ch 3, (work 3 bullion sts in the same st but this time you will only wrap the yarn 8 times around your hook, you will still ch 1 to close the bullion st, dc in next 11 sts,) 4 times total, join with a sl st to top of bullion Round 5 - ch 2, hdc in same st, 4 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, dc in next 11 sts, ( 2 hdc in next st, 4 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, dc in next 11 sts,) 3 times total fasten off black.
