Prayer Pot

Materials Needed: about 2-3 ozs of thick and thin yarn, K hook

Special Stitches:

BLO- back loop only

dec sc- insert hook in st, pull up a loop, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop, yo and pull through all 3 loops

ch 3, join with a sl st in 1st ch to form a ring

Round 1 - ch 1, work 10 sc in ring, join with a sl st to 1st sc

Round 2 - ch 1, (sc in 1st sc, 2 sc in next sc)repeat around,join with a sl st to 1st sc (15sc)

Round 3 - ch 1, (sc in next 2 scs, 2 sc in next sc)repeat around,join with a sl st to 1st sc (20sc)

Round 4 - ch 1, (sc in next 3 scs, 2 sc in next sc)repeat around,join with a sl st in the BLO (back loop only) of the 1st sc (25sc)

Round 5- sc in BLO of each st around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (25)

Round 6-7 - sc in each st around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (25)

Round 8 - (sc in next 4, 2sc in next st) repeat around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (30)

Round 9 - sc in next 2, 2 scs in next st) repeat around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (40)

Round 10- sc in each st around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (40)

Round 11- (sc in 1st st, dec sc)repeat around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (27)

Round 12 - (sc in next 3, dec sc) repeat around ending with sc in next 2 sts, join with a sl st to 1st sc (22)

Round 13-14 - sc in each st around,join with a sl st to 1st sc (22)

Round 15 - (sc in next 4 sts, dec sc) repeat 3 times, sc in next 4 sts, join with a sl st to 1st sc

Round 16 -sc in each st around, fasten off

Lid:

ch 3, join with a sl st to the 1st ch to form a ring

Round 1 - ch 1, work 6 scs in ring, join with a sl st to 1st sc

Round 2 - ch 1, work 2 scs ineach st around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (12)

Round 3 - (sc in 1st st, 2 scs in next st) repeat around, join with a sl st to 1st sc (18 )

Round 4 - (sc in next 2 sts, 2 scs in next st) repeat around, join with a sl st in the BLO (back loop only) of the 1st sc (24)

Round 5 - sc in BLO of each st around (24)

Round 6 - sc in each st around, fasten off.

Handle for lid:

ch 3, join with a sl st to 1st ch to form a ring

Round 1 - work 4 scs in ring

Round 3-6 - sc in each st around. fasten off and join to top of lid
