Picot Flower Coaster

PICOT FLOWER COASTER

Materials Needed: small amount of 2 colors of worsted weight cotton yarn, H hook

Instructions:

ch 4 join with a sl st to form a ring

Round 1 - ch 4, dc ch 1 seven times in the ring , sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 4 (8 dc ch 1 total)

Round 2 - ch 1, 1 dc in ch 1 sp, ch 1, * 2 dc ch1, in next ch 1 sp* repeat from *to* (you have 8 groups of 2 dc ch 1) sl st in top of ch 3

Round 3 - ch 3 *sc in next ch 1 sp, ch 3* ending with a sc repeat from *to* around (you will have 8 of the ch 3 and 8 sc) sl st in the first dc on the last round. fasten off.

Round 4 - with second color join with a sc in any ch 3 sp,* ch 4, sc in next ch 3 sp* around join with a sl st in first sc

Round 5 - sl st in the ch 3 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3 sl st back into the top of the last dc just made, 3 dc in the same ch 3 sp, *3 dc, ch 3, sl st in the top of the last dc just made, 3 dc in the same ch 3 sp* repeat from *to* sl st into the top of ch 3. fasten off.
