PEACH SWIRL SQUARE

Materials Needed: Small amounts of peach and green worsted weight yarn, G hook

Special Stitch: Swirl Stitch (SW ST) - yo hook 3 times, insert hook in st ,yo, draw loop through, *yo draw through 2 loops on hook * repeat from *to* 4 times . This completes one Swirl Stitch (sw st)

Directions:

with peach yarn, ch 5 join with a sl st to form a ring

Round 1 - ch 5, *sw st in next st, ch 1* repeat from *to* 11 times, join with a sl st to the 4th ch of the beginning ch 5 (12 sw st total)

Round 2 - ch 3 sc in top of next sw st on last round, *ch 3 sc in next sw st* repeat from *to* ending with a sc, sl st into the next ch 3 sp

Round 3 - ch 4 sc in next ch 3 sp, continue this around ending with a sl st into the 1st ch of of the beginning ch 4, sl st into the next ch 3 sp

Round 4 - ch 4 sc in next ch 3 sp, continue this around ending with a sl st into the 1st ch of of the beginning ch 4 and Fasten off.

Round 5 - Attach green yarn in any ch 4 sp, ch 3 2 dc, ch 2 3 dc in same st ( first corner made) 3 dc ch 1 in next 2 spaces, * 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc ch 1 in next sp 3dc, ch 1 in next 2 sp* continue this around sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch 3

Round 6 - ch1, hdc around the square doing 2 hdc in each corner , sl st into first hdc

Round 7 - ch 1 sc in each stitch around. Fasten Off.
