APPLE NAPKIN RING


Materials Needed: small amounts of red and green worsted weight yarn, F and G hook, sewing needle
 

This pattern is dedicated to Grace, she has been a creative inspiration to me. Thanks Grace!! HUGS!!

 

Directions: 

with F hook and red yarn ch 8

Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch, ch 1 turn

Row 2 -  2 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn

Row 3 -  2 sc in first st, sc in next 7 sts, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn

Row 4 -  2 sc in first st, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn

Row 5 -  dec sc in first 2 sts, sc in next 7 sts, dec sc in last 2 sts, ch 1 turn

Row 6 -  dec sc in first 2 sts, sc in next 5 sts, dec sc in last 2 sts, ch 1 turn

Row 7 -  dec sc in first 2 sts, sc in next 3 sts, dec sc in last 2 sts, ch 1 turn

sc in next 2 sts fasten off, skip a st and attach yarn in next st, sc in last 2 sts, sc evenly around the apple, when you get to the bottom of the apple sc 1 time on the side of each lobe, work only a sl st in the skipped st at the bottom of the apple. 

 

 with green and G hook ch 8 

row 1- hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch,  ch 1 turn

Row 2-13 -  hdc in each st across, ch 1 turn

sl st the ends together to form a ring, thread the needle with red yarn and stitch apple on the ring. 

I turned my apple to the side so when I put it a napkin inside it I can see the apple straight up instead of sideways.
