Cross Stitch Facecloth/Dishcloth

CROSS STITCH FACECLOTH/DISHCLOTH

Materials Needed: Approximately 2 oz. of sport weight cotton for facecloth or 2oz. worsted weight cotton for dishcloth, G hook

Instructions:

Chain 40

Row 1 - hdc in 2nd chain from hook and each st across, ch 3 turn

Row 2 - sk first st, in second st 1 dc in skipped st 1 dc (this is a cross st or CR ST)

contiue on repeating the CR ST, dc in last st, ch 1 turn

Row 3 - repeat row 1

Row 4- repeat row 2

Continue this until your piece measures about 9 inches. Do not finish off , sl st evenly around edge, finish off.

I did 21 rows total to reach the 9 inch size.
