QUICK KERCHIEF


Materials Needed:  about 2oz of worsted weight cotton yarn, G hook

 

Directions:

ch 4,  work 3 dc in 4th ch from hook

Row 1 -  ch 3, 1dc in next st, ch 1 1 dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, 2 dc in top of ch 3,    ch 3 and turn

Row 2 -  dc in next 2 sts ch 1, 2 dc in next  st, 1 dc in next st, ch 1, dc in next st, 2 dc in top of ch 3 , ch 3 turn

Row 3 - dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, 2 dc in next st, ch 1, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, 2 dc in next st ch 1, dc in next st, 2 dc in top of ch 3, ch 3 turn

Row 4 -  dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1 dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in next 2 sts,  2  dc in top of ch 3,  ch 3 turn

Row 5 -  dc in next 4 sts, ch1, dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in top of ch 3,  ch 3 turn

continue row 5 -  you will  increased a stitch each time until you have 18 sts, (example for the beginning of the row: dc in next 5 sts, next 6 sts, next 7 sts etc..., example for end of row dc in next 4 sts, next 5 sts, next 6 sts, etc...)

to finish off, sc evenly around the triangle working 2 sc in each point. 

 Ties: attach yarn to a corner ch 60 and sl st back or the chain. fasten off. repeat on other side.
