Chain Stitch Panel  

A panel afghan is worked width wise, you will need to make approximately 8 -10 panel for an afghan. The number of panels greatly depends on the width of each panel. The length of your panel is completely your choice. 

Materials Needed: Worsted weight yarn, G hook

Directions:

ch 29

Row 1 - dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each remaining ch, ch 1 turn (28)

Row 2 -   sc in 1st st, ch 3, skip a st sc in next st, *ch 3 sk a st,  sc in next st* continue from *to* until you have 13 ch 3 sps,   ch 1, turn

Row 3 - sl st into ch 3 sp, ch 3 work 2 dcs in same sp, work 2 dcs in each ch 3 sp across to the last ch sp work 3 dcs in the last ch 3 sp,  ch 1 turn (28)

repeat rows 2 and 3 until piece measures 36 inches or desired length making sure you end with row 3,  you will then ch 3 and dc in each st across.
