CD COASTER
Materials Needed: Small amount of worsted weight acrylic or cotton yarn, old CD, size g hook
Instructions:
Make 2 of the following
Ch 5, join with a sl st
Rnd 1- ch3, dc 9times in circle just made, join to 3rd ch in ch 3 with a sl st (ch3 counts as first dc) 10 dc total
Rnd 2- ch 3, 2dc in joining st, ch 1, 3dc-ch 1 in remaining 9 dc join with a sl st to top of ch 3 (10 groups of 3 dc-ch1)
Rnd 3 ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, dc ch1 dc in next ch 1 space on previous rnd. * dc in next 3 dc on previous rnd, dc ch 1 dc in next ch 1 space on previous rnd* continue around from *to * until you have 50 dc and 10 ch1 sp total, join with a sl st to top of ch 3
Rnd 4 ch3 dc in next 2 dc , dc ch 1 dc in next ch 1 sp on previous rnd *dc in next 3 dc on previous rnd, dc ch 1 dc in next ch 1 space on previous rnd* continue around from *to* until you have 50 dc and 10 ch 1 sp total , join with a sl st to top of ch 3
finish off first piece DO NOT finish off 2nd piece.
With the two piece wrong sides together do 2 sc in any ch 1 sp continue around and do 1 sc in each dc and 2 sc in each ch 1 sp, when you get about 1/2 way done slide the cd in and continue with the stitches to enclose the cd.
