Fun Button Socks

Materials Needed: 40-50 various sized buttons, several yards of luster sheen, size 6 hook

Directions:

Note: You may want to add 5 more buttons to the thread in case your spacing and size of sock is different than mine. When pulling up a button you will want there to be extra thread hanging down some buttons will be longer and some shorter than others.

Option 1:

Work between ribbings on the top of the sock

Thread 20 button on the thread, turn sock inside out, attach thread with a sl st to the back of sock ch 1, sc in same st, (pull one button up, skip a ribbing and sc in next ribbing) repeat around Fasten off, tie beginning and ending thread in several knots, weave in ends.

Option 2:

Work between ribbings on the top of the sock

Thread 20 button on the thread, turn sock inside out, join thread with a sl st to the back of sock ch 1,work 22 sc evenly and very loosely around the top of the sock, join with a sl st to top of beginning sc, ch 1, sc in same st as joining, (pull one button up, sc in same st, sc in next sc) repeat around Fasten off, tie beginning and ending thread in several knots, weave in ends.
