Butterfly Washcloth

I have been trying to come up with some cute gift basket ideas and this is one of them. Wouldn't this be great with a soap saver and a body scrubber???..... stay tuned those pattern will be on my site soon. 

Materials Needed: 2 ozs worsted weight cotton yarn, H hook, 1 inch plastic ring, 2 feet of ribbon

Directions:

join yarn to ring with a sl st, work 18 sc around ring, join with a sl st to 1st sc, ch 3 turn

Round 1 - dc in same st as joining,  work 2 dcs in each of the next 5 sts, ch 2, work 2 dcs in each of the next 6 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 2 - dc in the next 12 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 12 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 3 - dc in the next 14 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 15 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 4 - dc in the next 17 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 17 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 5 - dc in the next 19 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 20 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 6 - dc in the next 22 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 22 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 7 - dc in the next 24 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 25 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 8 - dc in the next 27 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 27 sts, ch 3 turn

Round 9 - dc in the next 29 sts, in next ch 2 sp work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs, dc in next 30 sts, ch 1 turn

Round 10 - reverse sc in each st, work 2 reverse scs in the ch 2 sp 

Fasten off yarn

attach yarn  with a sl st to the 1st sc that was not used on the ring, sc in same st, sc in next st, ch 7, in 2nd ch from hook work 3 scs, sc in next 5 chs, sc in next 3 scs, ch 7, in 2nd ch from hook work 3 scs, sc in next 5 chs, sc in next sc Fasten off yarn.

Finishing: Weave ribbon through each of the ch 2 sps, tie in a bow. To use in the bath or shower remove ribbon. Can be hung from a shower caddy through the plastic ring.
