October Aran Square

This pattern has lots of puffs in it, there is no rhyme or reason as to where the puffs are placed I just put them in the pattern!!

This square will be finished next week and then I will have another square that will be basic but can be used as a filler square so we can put our afghan together in November. YEA!!! we are almost done.

Materials Needed: H hook, no dye lot worsted weight yarn

Finished size - 12 inches

Directions:

Puff Stitch - ( YO insert hook in indicated st, YO , pull through) repeat 3 times, you will have 7 loops on hook, YO and pull through all 7 loops on hook

ch 5 join with a sl st to form a ring

Round 1 - ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times, join with a sl st to top of ch 3

Round 2 - ch 3, puff st in next st, dc in next st, **work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in next ch 2 sp to form corner,* dc in next st, puff in next st, dc in next st** repeat from **to** 3 times, repeat from **to * once, join with a sl st to top of ch 3

Round 3 - ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, puff in next st, dc in next st, **work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs in next ch 2 sp, dc in next st, puff in next st,* dc in next 3 sts, puff in next st, dc in next st** repeat from **to** 3 times, repeat from **to * once join with a sl st to top of ch 3

Round 4 - ch 3, puff in next st, dc in next 3 sts, puff in next st, dc in next st, **work 2 dcs, ch 2, 2 dcs in next ch 2 sp, dc in next st, puff in next st, dc in next 3 sts,* puff in next st, dc in next 3sts, puff in next st, dc in next st ** repeat from **to** 3 times, repeat from **to * once except you will only dc in the next 2 sts not 3, join with a sl st to top of ch 3
