March Sampler Square Week #2

Materials Needed: worsted weight yarn, I hook

Directions: The beginning chain is what it took for me to get a 12 inch square, if you are having trouble getting this square to be 12 inches chain a multiple of 3 chains plus 1 and add 2 for the base chain to get the desired chain that you need.

Row 1 - skip first 2 chs, work 1 hdc and 1 dc  in 3rd ch from hook,  *skip 2 chs, work (1 sc,1 hdc, 1 dc) in next ch* repeat from *to* until last 3 chs remain skip 2 chs, work 1 sc in last ch, turn

Row 2 - ch 1(counts as 1 sc) work 1 hdc and 1 dc in first st, *skip next dc and hdc work (1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc) in the next sc* repeat from *to* until last 3 sts remain, skip 1 hdc and 1 dc work 1 sc in top of turning chain, turn

Repeat row 2 until your piece is 12 inches square
