Materials Needed: worsted weight yarn, I hook

Directions: The beginning chain is what it took for me to get a 12 inch square, if you are having trouble getting this square to be 12 inches chain a multiple of 2 chains to get the desired chain that you need.

Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, insert hook in last st just worked, pull up a loop, skip next ch, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook) yo hook and pull through all 3 loops on hook at one time, * ch 1, insert hook in last st just worked, pull up a loop, skip next ch, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop, yo and pull through all 3 loop on hook at one time* repeat from *to* across to last ch, ch 1, sc in last ch, turn

Row 2 - ch 1, sc in 1st st, *ch 1, insert hook in st just worked, pull up a loop, sk next st, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop, yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook at one time * repeat from *to* across to last ch, ch 1, sc in last ch, turn

repeat row 2 until piece measures 12 inches square.
