Holly and Berries Ornament

Materials Needed: G hook, small amounts of green and red worsted weight yarn

Special Stitches:

FLO- Front Loops Only

BLO- Back Loops Only

Directions:

Make 2 of the following leaves

ch 8

Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in next 5 chs, work 3 sc in last ch, working in the backside of the chain sc in the next 6 free loops, ch 1 turn

 Row 2-  sc in the FLO of the next 7 scs, 3 sc in the FLO of the  next sc, sc in the FLO of the next  5 scs, ch 1 turn

Row 3 -  skip 1st sc, sc in the BLO of the next 5 scs, 3 sc in the BLO of the next sc, sc in the BLO of the next 6 scs, ch 1 turn 

Row  4- skip first sc, sc in the FLO of the next 6 scs, work 3 sc in the FLO of the next st, sc in the FLO of the next 4 sts, ch 1 turn 

Row 5 -  sc in the BLO of the next 4 sts, work 3 scs in the BLO of the next st,  sc in the BLO of the next 5 scs.  Fasten off

Berries:

make 3

ch 2,  work 4 sc in second ch from hook

Round 1 - work 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, work 2 scs in next st, 1 sc in next st

Round 2 - (dec sc in next 2 sts) 3 times    Fasten off leaving a length of yarn to sew with.

Finishing:

cross one leaf over the other, place berries as shown in the picture, pull yarn through to the back and fasten off, attach green yarn with a sl st through both leaves in the middle behind the berries ch 22, sl st back through both thickness and Fasten off.
