Fuzzy Furry Shoes |
|
Designed By Marlo Cairns I designed these shoes a while back and since then many others have made them after seeing my pictures. Here is a very simple pattern for you to follow so you too can have fuzzy feet.
Materials Needed: One pair of flip-flops, eyelash yarn, I hook
I have been able to get 3 pair of flip-flops made with one ball of eyelash fur. For the pink shoes I used one strand of pink fun fur and one strand of Bernat boa that is wrapped around a strand of chenille. These are super comfy and CUTE!!!
The very simple pattern: Tie yarn to one side of the Flip flop strap leaving a length of yarn as you work the following, work around the yarn and the strap to hide the yarn and keep it secure to the shoe, using an I hook pull up a loop and start single crocheting around the strap (just like when you crochet around a pony tail holder) continue single crocheting around the strap until you get to the toe part, ( I choose to crochet 3 sc's around the toe part because I am allergic to the plastic and don't want it to touch my skin) then I start down the other side of the strap and go all the way to the end. Make sure you push your stitches together because they will scrunch up and move toward the front of the shoe when you walk. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail and weave it under the just completed sc's. Work second shoe! These will work up in minutes and you will be running to the store to make some for your friends!! Place shoes on feet, make sure you paint your nails and go strut your stuff at the pool!!!!!!!
