Flower Afghan

 

Note: This is just the beginning of my afghan so you can see what the stitches look like.  I will post the entire afghan when I complete it. 

This afghan will ruffle a bit, that is what my daughter wanted a ruffley flower afghan.

Materials needed: you can use any size crochet hook, I am using an I hook, worsted weight yarn

Directions:

ch 7, join with a sl st in 1st ch to form a ring

Round 1 - in ring just formed work, ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, * 3 dcs, ch 2 * repeat from *to* 5 more times, join with a sl st to top of beg ch 3

Round 2 - sl st in next 2 dcs and in next ch 2 sp in same sp work, ch 3, 2dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs, *in next ch 2 sp work 3dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs* repeat 5 times 

Round 3 - sl st in next 2 dcs, and in next ch 2 sp in same sp work, ch 3, 2dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs, *(Note: this will be where you will increase each round) work 3dcs, in next sp between the 2 groups of 3 dcs,  in next ch 2 sp work 3 dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs,*repeat this around  ending with 3dcs, in next sp between the 2 groups of 3dcs, Join with a sl st to the top of beg ch 3

Round 4 - sl st in next 2 dcs, and in next ch 2 sp in same sp work, ch 3, 2dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs, *(Note: this will be where you will increase each round) (work 3dcs, in next sp between the 2 groups of 3 dcs) repeat 2 times,  in next ch 2 sp work 3 dcs, ch 2, 3 dcs,*repeat this around  (ending with 3dcs, in next sp between the 2 groups of 3dcs) repeat 2 times, Join with a sl st to the top of beg ch 3

Repeat row 4 increasing by one group of 3 dcs, that are worked between the 2 groups of 3 dcs
