Easter Egg Duckie Buddy

Materials Needed: Small amounts of yellow, orange and black yarn, size G hook, sewing needle, 1 large Easter egg

Directions:

Body of Duck:

ch 2

Round 1- work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Note: you are now working in continuous round, use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round

Round 2 - work 2 scs in each st around (12)

Round 3 - (2 sc in 1st st, 1sc in next st) repeat around (18)

Round 4 - (2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 2 sts) repeat around (24)

Round 5-16 - sc in each st around (24)

Round 17- (sc in next 4 sts, dec sc) repeat 4 times, join with a sl st to next sc, Fasten off. (20)

Feet:

Make 2

ch 6

sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch 1 turn (5)

inBLO sc in next 4 sts, work 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn (6)

in BLO sc in next 6 scs, ch 1 turn (6)

in BLO sc in next 5 sts, skip last st, (5)

Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn to sew with

Bill:

ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and and next 3 sts, sc in the back side of the chain in each of the next 4 free loop, join with a sl st to 1st sc (8 scs total) fasten off, leaving a length to sew with, sew to the middle of the head circle

Finishing:

Hair- tie 3 small lengths of orange to top of head and fray it open so it looks like hair.

Sew feet to bottom round, sew bill to round 10, sew eyes over rounds 5 and 6.

After the holiday is over you can take the egg out and sew up the bottom of the Bunny and it can be a small stuffed animal.
