Super Size Crochet Tote

Finished Size: 19 in. wide x 15 in. high

Materials Needed: J hook, sewing needle, 16 ozs Dark blue, 5 ozs light blue worsted weight yarn

Directions:

This bag is made holding 2 strands of yarn together

ch 46

row 1- hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining hook, ch 1 turn

Row 2- 5 - hdc in each st across, ch 1 turn

Round 1 - working in rounds now, ch 1, make 5 sc evenly on the short end of the piece, 3 sc in next st sc in next 43 sts, 3 sc in next st, 5 scs worked evenly on the next short end, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 43 sts, 3 sc in last st, join with a sl st to first sc. You are now working in rounds (108 sts total)

Round 2- 27 ch 1, hdc in each st around, join with a sl st to the first hdc (108 hdc total)

Round 28 - ch 1, hdc in the next 32 sts, ch 34, sk 22 sts, hdc in the next 32 sts, ch 34, sk 22 sts, join with a sl st to the top of 1st hdc (132)

Round 29- ch 1, hdc in same st and in next 31 sts, hdc in each of the 34 chs on prev rnd, hdc in next 32 sts, hdc in next 34 chs on prev rnd, join with a sl st to 1st hdc (132 sts)

Round 30- ch 1, hdc in each st around, fasten off (132)

Round 31- using only one strand of contrasting color yarn, join contrasting yarn with a sl st, reverse sc in each st around

Large Pocket:

with contrasting yarn and only one strand of yarn

ch 45

Row 1 - hdc in each st across, ch 1 turn (44 total)

Row 2 - 22 - hdc in BLO of each st across, ch 1 turn, at end of round 22 fasten off CC (44)

Join MC in any corner sp with a sl st, sc in each st around, work 3 sc in each corner sp. Fasten off leaving a long length of yarn to sew with

Small Pocket:

with contrasting yarn and only 1 strand of yarn

ch 18

Row 1 - hdc in each ch across, ch 1 turn (17)

Row 2- 12- hdc in BLO of each st across, ch 1 turn at the end of round 12 fasten off.

Join MC in any corner sp with a sl st, sc in each st around, work 3 sc in each corner sp. Fasten off leaving a long length of yarn to sew with.

Finishing your Super Size Crochet Tote

Using the picture as a placement guide sew your pockets on, because the MC was used to finish off the pockets your tote will be completely reversible. That is what is shown in the above pictures.
