Easter Egg Bunny Buddy

Materials Needed: Small amounts of white black and pink yarn, size G hook, sewing needle, 1 large Easter egg

Directions:

Body of Bunny:

ch 2

Round 1- work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Note: you are now working in continuous round, use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round

Round 2 - work 2 scs in each st around (12)

Round 3 - (2 sc in 1st st, 1sc in next st) repeat around (18)

Round 4 - (2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 2 sts) repeat around (24)

Round 5-16 - sc in each st around (24)

Round 17- (sc in next 4 sts, dec sc) repeat 4 times, join with a sl st to next sc, Fasten off. (20)

Ears:

Make 2-

with pink yarn ch 7

Round 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 5 chs, working on backside of chain sc in each st (12) fasten off pink.

Round 2 - with white yarn, sc in next 5 sts, sc in next st, ch 1, 2 dcs in same st, 2 dcs in next st, ch 1, sc in same st, sc in the next 5 sts, join with a sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off leaving a length to sew with.

Cheeks and Tail:

Make 3-

ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring

ch 3, work 6 dc in ring just formed, join with a sl st to top of beg ch 3

Fasten off leaving a length to sew with.

Using the picture as a guide sew the the ears and the face on, sew tail to back of bunny. Stuff the Easter egg into the hole in the bottom.

After the holiday is over you can take the egg out and sew up the bottom of the Bunny and it can be a small stuffed animal.
