Basket Weave Panel
A panel afghan is worked width wise, you will need to make approximately 8 -10 panel for an afghan. The number of panels greatly depends on the width of each panel. The length of your panel is completely your choice.
Material Needed: worsted weight yarn, I hook
Directions:
Note: ch 3 counts as 1st dc throughout
ch 26
Row 1 - dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each remaining ch (24 dcs)
Row 2 - ch 3, sk 1st st, fpdc in next 3 sts, * bpdc in next 4 sts, fpdc in next 4 sts* repeat 2 times, bpdc in next 4 sts, turn
Row 3 - ch 3, sk 1st st, bpdc in next 3 sts, * fpdc in next 4 sts, bpdc in next 4 sts* repeat 2 times, fpdc in next 4 sts, turn
Row 4 - ch 3, sk 1st st, bpdc in next 3 sts, * fpdc in next 4 sts, bpdc in next 4 sts* repeat 2 times, fpdc in next 4 sts, turn
Row 5 - ch 3, sk 1st st, fpdc in next 3 sts, * bpdc in next 4 sts, fpdc in next 4 sts* repeat 2 times, bpdc in next 4 sts, turn
Repeat rows 2-5 until your piece measures 36 inches or desired length
